This is the workout for 1-2-2011.

The first workout of the year! You’d think we’d be excited about the new year and things to come.

No. Not quite. It’s an early Sunday morning post New Year’s Celebrations.

We were glad just to be awake and moving. Moving…that’s what we needed. But how much?

Music: Grand Funk Railroad, Closer to Home and Phoenix. T-Shirt: Homer Simpson (“You guys don’t know Grand Funk? Mark Farners’ wild shirtless lyrics? The bong-rattling bass of Mel Schacher? The competent drum work of Don Brewer?”)

“Grand Funk Railroad paved the way for Jefferson Airplane, which cleared the way for Jefferson Starship. The stage was now set for the Alan Parsons Project, which I believe was some sort of hovercraft.” – Homer Simpson
