15th workout of the year, 2/5/2011.

Music: Focus. T-shirt: Captain America!

OK. We’ve done “plate” workouts before. We’ve done “chair” workouts before.

Today we did the best of both worlds.

Yes the Chair and Plate Workout!

Just use a chair (without wheels!) and grab a plate. We used  45s, 35s and 25s depending upon the persons strength/experience levels.

Warning! This workout can break you mentally and physically.

But you’ll be stronger for it!

The workout:

Squat and Overhead Plate Press 100 reps

Squat and Plate Curl 100 reps

Squat and  Plate Twist 100 reps

Squat Hugging a Plate 100 reps

Squat and Plate Push 100 reps

And that’s it!

That’s it?! That’s it?!

Well yeah…500 reps of squats. I’d say that was quite a lot!

For that matter 100 overhead presses or curls is pretty tough as well.

How about the core/abs? Well today’s workout was probably one of the more “functional” core/ab workouts we’ve done. The “core” is engaged in all of the movements. At least it is supposed to be.

Enough of the chatter. Here’s the video. Try it…you won’t like it!
