Image9Workout for 5/7/2014

Music: Eric Clapton.

T-shirt: Mellow Mushroom.

Today we’ll do a bit of body weight exercises then progress to some weights.

The body weight stuff was just as challenging as the weights were. Just goes to show you…you’ll always have a “gym” no matter where you are!

First: 5 x 5Image1

5 exercises for 5 minutes each.

You do 1 rep every 15 seconds.

You “rest” in the up or mid positions.

So not a lot of reps here.

Will you feel it? Absolutely!!Image2

The Exercises:

  • Push Up
  • Squat
  • Plank
  • Sit Up
  • Seated Leg Raise

Dumbbell Ladders…

I call this a “Ladder” because you’re “climbing” from a low weight to a higher weight. If someone can’t “climb the ladder” to the top they’ll just stop at the highest weight and complete the rest of the sets/reps there.

Sometimes we go up and down the ladder. Not today.Image7

Second: Shoulder Press DB Ladder

10 pounds to 55 pounds

5 pound increments

10 reps each

Third: Triceps Extension LadderImage10

10 pounds to 55 pounds

5 pound increments

10 reps each

Fourth: Bicep Curl Ladder

10 pounds to 55 poundsImage11

5 pound increments

10 reps each
