Today is a usual workout day but we decided to take a holiday on a holiday.

The body is still recovering from the Body Weight Workout a few days ago.

So what better day to have a little break from the usual post and go for what some people actually want to know.

I get questions all the time about exercise. Everyone has an opinion.

But what are the top 10 reasons to exercise?

1. To Look Better.

Come on folks! This is the number one reason anyone exercises. It may not be as noble as other reasons but this is it. This is the reason. Why? It’s an ego thing. You simply look better in or out of clothes when you are in shape!

2. To Feel Better.

Overall you’ll have more energy. Not in the beginning but you will as you continue. Some research shows that exercise may reduce depression, anxiety and stress.

3. To Become Healthier.

Exercise can help prevent heart disease, stroke, diabetes, high blood pressure, osteoporosis, and obesity…just to name a few. This reason should be enough just by itself.

4. To Enhance Self Confidence and Self-Esteem.

Research has shown that consistent exercise gives you an overall increase in how you feel about yourself.

5. To Improve Balance and Decrease Potential Injuries.

A consistent exercise program will improve your balance and coordination. Your strength will increase and you potential for injury should decrease.

6. To Feel Younger.

In a sense you will be able to turn back the hands of time. The more you exercise the more you may find that you can do things you never could! Everyone can improve…but only if you get off the couch!

7. To Sleep Better.

With consistent exercise you’ll find that your stress levels decrease and you’ll be able to reach a deeper level of sleep.

8. To Eat More.

Face it. If you eat too much you’ll get fat. By exercising regularly you will be able to eat more without getting fat. You’ll just have to balance it out.

9. To Enhance Brain Function.

More research has shown that the brain will function at a higher level with regular exercise. This doesn’t mean exercise will make you smarter but it will raise you up to your highest potential. And don’t we all know a few people that could start living up to a higher level?

10. To Have a Better Sex Life.

In general, exercise has been found to improve sex lives from a physical and mental standpoint. Who am I to disagree with research? Your whole body becomes more efficient with exercise.

So what are you waiting for? It’s time to either get started or to increase your intensity.

The time is now for a better tomorrow!

Tony Robbins

I first heard about Anthony “Tony” Robbins years ago. Saw the old info commercial…thought it was a bunch of crap. But that is because I always thought I knew everything…took me a long time to figure out that I did not know everything and that I never would!

In 2001 there was a movie out called “Shallow Hal”. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0256380/

In the movie Robbins plays himself. He helps “Hal” (who incidentally is played by Tenacious Ds’ Jack Black).  I enjoyed him in the movie and got some small clips off of Napster (remember those days?). I really liked some of the stuff. From him I also found out he had a mentor at one time named Jim Rohn. So I found some Jim Rohn stuff. So it’s been and continues to be a journey to be the best I can from a physical to mental to personal standpoint.

By the way…after a few Napster clips I bought some CDs and books by Robbins…apparently a T-shirt as well!
